Hey fellow Momma’s!! This section is dedicated to you! Here is where you will find advice, venting sessions and facts about Motherhood. This is a journey for all of us and I truly believe that we need each other to get through the tougher days. I have met some amazing woman while venturing out into the blogging world and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. I get my facts from other websites but write about my own feelings about these facts. If you want to hear about a certain topic please don’t hesitate to contact me at: momma@mommameals.org.

#FWConf here I come!! A Trip well deserved

#FWConf here I come!! A Trip well deserved

Hello and happy Wednesday morning everyone!! While your reading this I'll be getting ready to head to Orlando, Florida to my very first Food & Wine Conference! Anyone who follows me regularly knows that the SundaySupper Movement, founded by the wonderful Isabel Laesigg means a whole lot to me. Not only do I get to meet A LOT of the Sunday Supper family but I get to finally hug this woman! So much has happened in the last year for my family and no one deserves this trip more than my husband and I. Actually I have to thank him because if it weren't for him I wouldn't be going. When it came to booking time, the mother in me said no no no we should spend the money on other things. He simply said, No. You wanted to go last year and you were about to give birth, you deserve this, I deserve

I Love My TEA-cher Gift

I Love My TEA-cher Gift

Yes it's that time of the year.....time to celebrate those people that have such a huge impact on our children's lives. Those special people that guide and mentor the most important part of us as parents. Teacher's appreciation week was a few weeks ago and I wanted to share with you what Madison and I made for her teachers at Pre-School. I wanted something she could help me with, but also something the teachers would know was especially from her but also something they could really use too. I have a lot of people involved in the school systems in my life and I reached out to them to ask what teachers enjoy getting from their students. Most of them responded with home made items and gift cards. So I decided to do a little bit of both! I got creative and made these with Miss Madison a few

Mother’s Day 2014

Mother’s Day 2014

I didn't have time to put together a Mother's Day post this year...I know, no excuses but since trying to squeeze in working out to my daily routine, I'm struggling with finding the balance, but I am! And it feels fantastic! I should have stayed this loyal a long time ago. I'm not going to lie, I don't have a routine. I can't commit to arms one day legs the next, I can only commit to the 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 minutes routines on the core body reformer. I commit to 10 minutes here when the kids are sleeping, or 20 min here when my daughter is at pre-school and my son is happy playing with his toys, I've become totally OK with the up in the air routine (very unlike me!) I just know come 9pm at night when I go to bed, I've done something for "MY" well-being. So since I didn't have time

I Wish Someone Told Me…….

I Wish Someone Told Me…….

That life is just too short.  Today I'm linkin up with Kat over at "Mama Kat's Writing Workshop." I've done a few of these in the past. This Mama can write. I still get her emails listing 5 prompts on what to write about. Every week I ponder them. She has such great topics that really gets my mind going. Most weeks I'm just too busy and can't sit down and give it my all because I have two kids to raise, a house to keep up, a husband to keep happy, friends to see, family to laugh with, and many glasses of wine to drink! When we are born into this silly place called life we never know how long it's going to last. We get caught up in all of the everyday things I just spoke about.  When my grandmother was born she had no idea she would live to see 81 beautiful years. When my father was

Mom’s Lets Stay United!! And…..A Week Of Photo’s!

Mom’s Lets Stay United!! And…..A Week Of Photo’s!

Something I do to capture my days and stay positive as a SAHM is take a lot of photo's. They aren't good photo's. Most of them are taken with my phone, however they are my life. It makes me stay positive during days that are frustrating. Those days that challenge me to answer the question of why I became a SAHM. I have friends or sometimes complete strangers that say they could never do it. I have friends that must work to support their families. We all contribute to our families as mothers, it's just all done in different ways. I've come to realize over the past year that becoming a mother changes you. I used to think it was in a way that made me a cranky bitch of a person to be around, however I've discovered in the last few months that it's more in a way that has made me a stronger

This is what my life has become…..And I love It!

This is what my life has become…..And I love It!

As a mother of two little ones I often find myself completing this sentence......A LOT. "You know your a mother when..." Fill in the blank. I've got some whoppers I'll tell you. I'll just share a few of my favorites with you so you get the gist. "You know your a mother when you kiddo spits up, you use your glove to wipe it up, rub it on your pants and be on your way, and then forget to throw the gloves in the laundry." "You know your a mother when your picking up after your kids have gone to bed, you pull a toy out from under the couch, along with the cat fur and old cherrios that come with it, and proceed to push that fur and old Cherrios back under the couch since you just vaccuumed......4 days ago." "You know your a stay-at-home mother when putting on make up and a pair of

Baby Led-Weaning-Our Experience Part II

Baby Led-Weaning-Our Experience Part II

Welcome to Baby Led-Weaning-Our Experience Part II, it was supposed to be out last week, but as usual life gets in the way! However I'm always thinking, yes I'm that nut job that walks around going about her day and thinks "wow that would make a great post, I should talk about that. Or how about that "ah ha" moment when you catch yourself saying (and don't say that you don't) "This is what my life has become?!!" Just admit it, we've all thought it, or if you haven't than I'm the delusional one then! Like today, the perfect example when I was elbow deep in my what....the eighth poopy diaper of the day (and it was 1pm) and at the last second of wiping my son pulled the wipe from me and yup........my hand went right in. Right directly in. To spare you the details of how the rest of that

Baby-Led Weaning – Our Experience Part I

Baby-Led Weaning – Our Experience Part I

You've probably heard me speak of this term quite a bit since having my son 8 months ago. I bought the books, did my research and asked around to other Mommy's on how this thing worked. I did what any first time mother did with my daughter. I eagerly awaited the five month mark, ran to the store, bought the cereal and couldn't wait to pop my little one in her seat to watch her gobble up this yummy cereal! Fail. I was so upset that she wanted nothing to do with it and wouldn't even let it go into her mouth. I was disappointed but more so I felt like I was failing her (yes I'm hard on myself) I didn't understand what was really going on and why she didn't take the cereal. It wasn't because she didn't like it. It was because she didn't know what to do. A lot of people are under the

Allowing your child to be who they want to be……

Allowing your child to be who they want to be……

I bring this subject up with a heavy heart because I don't want people to think I I don't love my daughter or that I would never not be proud of her, I'm bringing up the topic because I know there are other parents that must feel the way that I do. I'm a girly girl. I'm pretty sure I have been all of my life. I played with my dolls and I played house and all of that while growing up. I love anything pink, fancy and sparkly. I love my nails painted, a nice hair do, make up and a good pair of heels. I love shopping for purses and new cloths and dresses for the summer. So obviously when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I was more than happy. That little girl growing inside my belly became my world (well she still is of course). On October 27th 2010 I became one lucky woman bringing

A Momma Survival Kit

A Momma Survival Kit

I've been meaning to post this and share it with all you lovelies out there but sometimes my recipes are just so gosh darn good that I have to share them with you ASAP! So anyone out there that may have family or friends expecting? Well if so this one is for you! I didn't think of this in time because all my Momma friends all had #2 from Spring until Fall of this past year, so I only got to actually give this gift to one new lucky Momma. Everyone always buys a little gift for the new bundle of joy, a new outfit, a plush toy or a nice soft new blanket. Well I like to spoil the Momma, why? Well to be frank she just spit the kid out now didn't she! So I thought of this idea when thinking of becoming a Momma again this past summer. What are some of the things we NEED?? Without a doubt NEED the
