S’More Brownie Bars

I got this recipe off the Food Network’s Site. I don’t remember how I got the idea of wanting to make something like this, that’s how it usually works for me, I find something on line I want to make, I don’t write it down, then I forget and end up doing a google search and end up with something similar!

What you’ll Need:

1 Stick of unsalted butter
1 1/2 Cup of graham cracker crumbs
1 box of brownies (use your favorite brand, it really doesn’t matter)
1/2 cup of miniature chocolate chips
1-1/2 cups of miniature marshmellows

What to do:

Melt the butter in a microwavable dish for a minute and then 30 seconds at a time until it’s melted, stirring each time.

Mix it with the graham cracker crumbs until it turns a little rough. Like this.

Use two sheets of tinfoil putting them into an 8×8 dish in opposite ways so it forms an easy make shift mold for the brownies. Like this.

Push the crumbs into the greased dish (I used an 8×8 dish) forming a nice even crust.

Bake at 350F for 20-25 min until golden brown. While the crust is cooking, mix the brownie mix together according to the packaged directions.

Once the crust is cooked poor the brownie mix into the dish and bake according to the directions.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the cooked brownies. Then top with mini marshmellows.

Bake for 5 minutes, turn onto broiler and broil until the marshmellows have a nice brown tint and the chocolate chips are slightly melted……..ewhee goey!!

Remove from the pan by lifting up the sides of each make shift tinfoil lift. Let sit for 5 min.

Slice and serve this piece of heaven!!

**Please note, I made this recipe all the way up to the topped marshmellows and didn’t end up making the rest that night like planned, I made it 3 nights later and it still was FABULOUS!!! Feel free to make and store until you bring it to your party!
