Honey Glazed Ham

I tried Ham in the crockpot last week and I swear I will never cook Ham any other way again! That’s how awesome it was!! I didn’t do a whole ham though I only did a piece of the Ham so this time I want to try a whole Ham!! How easy does this sound? I plan on serving it with some kind of potato and fresh steamed carrots with brown sugar! This is also a Gluten Free item, I got this recipe from a mom who has a child that has a Gluten allergy so I thought that was worth mentioning. This is also a Gluten Free Dish. To see my step-by-step directions for this recipe please click here: Ham Dinner w/my Boo!

Ingredients:

5-7 pound bone-in ham
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon gluten free Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground thyme

The Directions:
Use a 6-quart slow cooker. Unwrap ham, and discard flavor packet. Put ham into slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, honey, butter, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and thyme.

Pour mixture evenly over the ham. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until heated through.

THE VERDICT IS IN!!!!

Ok I ended up buying a 4.5 lb bone-in Ham. Thank god I didn’t go any bigger I remember someone telling me to make sure I buy one that fits in  my crock so when I was at the store this afternoon I guess! Well it barley fit!! I had to even smush it in but it was perfect, I mixed all the ingredients exactly as it said! It smelled amazing, specially when you lifted the lid….MMMM…..well the only suggestion I have on this is to watch your cook time, either that or it’s my crock because I put mine in at 2 and it was ready at like 4:30 LOL…..If I kept it in any longer the sides would have blakened, it was cooked to perfection! My daughter even gobbled it up, I swear I’ll never cook a ham any other way, how easy is that! Use the juices on the bottom with whatever your serving it with for gravy, I used left over Mashed Sweet Potato Brulee and mixed veggies and it was perfect, my husband said it was by far the best so far and if I quote him exactly, it was, “I feel like I’m eating at T-Bones!!”  HAHA I’ll take it! We love T-Bones! Stay tuned for my Aunt’s reviews! Here are my pics! Tomorrow will be All-In-One Porkchop Bake for my hubby as this momma is having a night out!
