These Easy Chow Mein Noodles will make you never order take out again. Make it as spicy or sweet as you like it. The shredded coleslaw mix gives just enough of a vegetable touch to complete this easy dinner!

Ingredients
  • 12 oz of Dried Chow Mein Noodles (or Ramen Noodles)
  • ¼ Cup of Soy Sauce
  • 3 Cups of shredded coleslaw mix
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tsp of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp of grated fresh ginger
  • Red Pepper (optional)
  • Green Onions (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, water, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a medium sized sauté pan add the oil and swirl around. Add the coleslaw mix and and toss to coat. Add the garlic, stir to combine and keep pushing it around for another 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the chow mein noodles according to package directions, drain.
  4. Add the noodles to the coleslaw mixture and combine. Pour the sauce mixture all over and mix to combine. Season with salt and pepper (add red pepper here if you want a kick) Stir around for a few minutes to let the flavors combine.
  5. Serve with a little bit of green onions on top if desired.
