What’s Up Momma? Party Snack Mix-Crock Pot Style

What is up with this Momma? Oh A LOT. Packing, Christmas decorating, Christmas shopping, searching for a new daycare, and all of the other lovely daily activities us Momma’s do! Since the holidays are here, I’m trying my hardest to keep my aches, pains and complaints to myself (well and my lucky husband of course!) I did NOT want to drag out Christmas decorations while we were in the middle of packing up our condo, however I have a two year old here, she MUST learn what the holidays are all about so we do what we have to do as parents. Boy was it worth it because seeing her face when we opened up the box of tree lights and ornaments was worth any aggravation I will have packing it up within a week before moving time! Madison is so much more fun this year, and I know it’s just going to get more and more fun as the years go on, she put all of the ornaments on the same branch, she thinks people’s front lights are Christmas lights and Santa………well we are still working on that one!

I’m now working on twelve weeks into my pregnancy. I’ve gained a little energy back, but still not enough for me! I’m still feeling sick off and on most days and I think we are finally over a few weeks of sicknesses over here. I hope at least. Madison’s vocabulary is slowly starting to increase, it’s actually cracking us up. She belts out full sentences that blow us off our feet! I couldn’t be more proud! The packing is underway, I feel like I’ve packed up ALOT of stuff, I have at least 5 stacks of boxes in corners, we are running out of corners but I look around and it doesn’t feel like I’ve even put a dent in it! We have to rent out our condo soon so I guess I better get on it! I’ll probably be up until midnight Christmas Eve wrapping at this point! UGH……..

I apologize for not keeping up with Momma’s Meals the way I was, or the way I’d like to, it’s just last on my list these days, sad to say, it is one of the things I do for myself and well……..I don’t do much for myself these days as my energy runs out come dinner time. I’m so sick of take out that I actually asked my husband for a salad tonight for dinner!! Thank you my hunny it was AWESOME! After this week we have three weeks left until move time!! AH! So excited, my husband and I have waited 3 years for this! Well as he says, all his life, but I was so happy here until we had our daughter. But stay tuned because I do have some great plans for 2013!! As you can see I added a new tab at the top called “Dear Baby F.” I will be writing to my new little peanut very soon and early February, Baby F. will have a name of his/her own 🙂

So this past weekend, thanks to my mom and my sister taking my daughter, I was able to do what I’ve wanted to do all holiday season! Make homemade gifts! I’ve been wanting to make some baskets for my daughters daycare and a friend of mine that is expecting her first child. I just haven’t had the energy or time to do any of it! Luckily I was able to get to a lot of it this weekend, and I had to share this one with you all because I think it makes a fabulous gift! I popped it in a basket I gave my girlfriend this weekend, and gave my mom a bag (who loves party mix). I changed the recipe a bit from this batch I made, so the numbers and measurements below is how I made it for my second batch. I guess that is how we truly learn!!
