This is a weekly event put on by a foodie friend of mine Isabel from Family Foodie. I met her through another foodie friend and I instantly fell in love with her mission. The mission of getting your family around the table every Sunday for an amazing dinner. Each week there is a new theme and a bunch of bloggers get together (around the dinner table of course wink-wink) and you instantly have over 30 amazing recipes each week. Isabel is amazing at putting together great themes and sometimes we even get to work with food companies, authors and amazing people that believe in the mission of Sunday Supper. So join me each Sunday!!

Cannoli Stuffed French Toast for #SundaySupper

Happy Sunday everyone!! Spring has Sprung where we live in New England! I don't know about you but when the Spring weather is upon us I get the jitters to bake and make breakfast! I know I know, crazy but this is my fourth Spring since I've realized how happy the kitchen makes me so I must admit I'm guilty of these Spring time treats I must whip up! When #SundaySupper came up with the theme of Stuffed, Roll or Wrap I knew exactly what I was going to make!! So a special thanks to Amy of kimchi MOM!! I've had this recipe in mind since I saw it on a cooking show I tune into every now and again called The Hungry Girl. I made some changes to make it to my families liking so feel free to adjust to what yours would love!  I've made a few recipes of hers, and this one I knew my family would fall

Poached Pear Bread with Dixie Crystals & #SundaySupper

Since I'm still mastering this thing called baking, I tend to have to repeat recipes. Sometimes the second one comes out better than the first and sometimes it comes out A LOT worse than the first. When I find one I've mastered a few times it becomes a favorite that I go back to over and over again for my family. When the SundaySupper group said they were partnering up with Dixie Crystals, bringing you the theme of, Springtime Sweets, I knew I had to try something different. For some reason I love baking in the Fall and Spring, call me crazy but Spring just makes me want to bake tasty, sweet and delicious treats. While flipping through one of my favorite cooking magazines I came across a picture that lured me right in! I knew I had to create something like this, since it didn't come with

Broccoli, Mushroom & Rice Casserole for #SundaySupper

Soooooo Meatless Meals, I'm going to admit that I love meat, most of it, I've often thought about going the vegetarian route just to see if I could do it, my best friend actually did it for 3 weeks after the New Year and she said it wasn't as hard as she thought it would be, I cook a lot of chicken, I try to only have beef one night a week so that leaves 1-2 nights a week of meatless dishes. I could literally live on pasta but seeing as it's not the healthiest option in the world I continue to cook meat! I'm sure excited to see these dishes because since I'm hosting this event I've been looking at the titles and drooling over them all week! A lot of people I know are Vegetarians or Vegans, it's why I have a section on my blog for those recipes. When we invite friends over for a get

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm pretty excited, so excited that I just had to tell you all about the #SundaySupper theme this week. Meatless Meals...... and I'm hosting! I have a hosted a few fun events in the past and when I saw this one still needed a host I thought why not I LOVE meatless dishes! We are talking a pretty talented group of foodies here my friends so this is one event you will NOT want to miss. I can only imagine what is to come of these mouth watering meatless dishes we have lined up for you! I'm getting my "Pinning" hand ready because I have a feeling I'm going to be pinning a lot of dishes to try in the upcoming weeks as we all gear to get fit and healthy for Spring or if you celebrate Lent, you'll want to mark your favorite dishes now so your prepared for those

Mardi Gras Recipes for #SundaySupper

Happy Sunday everyone! I don't know a lot about Mardi Gras to be honest with you. All I do know is that it's a carnival/party of some sort that is thrown most famously in New Orleans. I have often seen some crazy outfits, out of control people doing silly things but one thing is for sure, like most parties, it comes with great food!! I had to look up recipes most commonly celebrated with Mardi Gras I have to admit. I was surprised to discover that a lot of Mardi Gras food choices consist of Cajun or spicy foods! I was super excited to discover this because well we love a good kick in this home! Sooooooooooooo let's thank Leslie from La Cocina de Leslie for hosting this super fun event! I seriously can not wait to check out these recipes and Pin some of them to my new "MUST TRY" pinterest

A Chili Cook Off for #SundaySupper

Happy Sunday everyone!! Today is a pretty special Sunday........why you ask? Well have you ever been to a Chili Cook Off? Have you ever took part in one? Well I have to be honest and say I haven't. I've always wanted to but honestly every time I make Chili, I make it differently, I can't seem to make it the same.......until one day when I hosted a Cookie Swap for all of my Momma friends and I made this Chili for the guys. My husband told me that it was by far the best Chili he had ever had.......so I went on a mission to duplicate that very recipe I made that day. Thank goodness I take pictures of almost everything I attempt to make and that I remembered everything that went into this dish. Obviously you can see why I came up with Daddy's Favorite Chili for my title! So this is your chance

Southwestern Meatballs Wrapped in Bacon #SundaySupper

When this weeks theme of Valentine's Day Recipes for Two came up for #SundaySupper, I knew right away what I had planned to share with everyone. I made these for my husband and I for one of our Date Nights In. Anyone who knows me knows that Date Nights are very important to me because we have two little ones and making time to still be a couple is very important for any marriage never mind a marriage with small children. So every once in awhile I plan one of these date nights for my husband and I. This particular weekend I went all out. I decorated a table, made appetizers, salads, a main dish and a dessert. We had a very nice night minus one kiddo while she spent the night at Memere's house. Now granted I haven't made a date night as nice as this since October however I still plan our

Easy Nacho Bar for a #SundaySupper Game Day!

Happy Sunday everyone!! Even though New England's Football team didn't make it this year to the Superbowl I still wanted to take part in this weeks even for a few reasons. One, I miss #SundaySupper, I took a few weeks off and two because of the theme!! Game Day treats! This event is being hosted by Heather over at Hezzi-D's Books and Cooks. Thanks for hosting Heather!  I will use every and all excuses to make snacks! I love making snacks, a bunch of things to pick on when having family and friends over. I'll admit, football and I, we don't get along. I've tried numerous times to understand the game, I'm not sure if it's because I just like to talk too much and I can't pay attention or if I simply just don't get it! I don't mind baseball and hockey because I get it......I don't mind

Chicken & Rice Dinner in the Crock for #SundaySupper

Today we are saying Happy Birthday to our dear #SundaySupper family!! I can't even believe it. I started taking part in this weekly celebration of food and family in May of 2011, I had no idea that the #SundaySupper movement has only been around for two years. So a little after a year it all began this fabulous group invited me with open arms to take part in breaking bread and making Sunday Supper as important in my home as it is in theirs. So instead of singing happy birthday we have all decided to share a #SundaySupper moment that really means something to us. I thought about this long and hard, there have been some great themes, plenty of things I've learnt, whether it was in cooking, writing or blogging, and most importantly I've gained some wonderful relationships along the way. So

Slow Cooking with Beef for #SundaySupper

Ahhhhhhhhh it was nice to have a few weeks off from the blogging world, I won't lie though, I had withdrawals from cooking, from writing, from my #SundaySupper family and well just withdrawals from being in my kitchen really! I didn't really make much for the holiday given our plans. We have dinner at my MIL's on Christmas Eve, a small breakfast Christmas morning, I made a new quiche casserole that literally took me 10 min to prepare (that doesn't even count) and Christmas evening I was in charge of a cheese platter, so really I did no cooking. It was nice to have the break, my whole family was sick, it just worked. However.............I'm back! My #SundaySupper family has already rang in the New Year with Reflections and Resolutions, go check it out, what a real cute theme, I just didn't
