Our First Holiday Dinner……

Well you all must know by now that I love having friends and family over. Nothing makes me happier than cooking and entertaining. I don’t know why, I’m now 7 months pregnant and beat almost every second of every day. However I still wanted to have Easter Dinner this year. It Β is our big holiday in our new home and nothing was going to stand in my way!!

Madison and I spent the week getting ready. We colored eggs (OK well Nunny and I colored them and Maddie put stickers on them) going outside with TT was way more fun! We started the week off by going to the mall and getting her pictures done and we visited the Easter Bunny of course! I can’t believe she loved him!! We put together place settings, well Madison started them and Mommy finished them. We made Easter decorations, hid eggs, baked an cooked all weekend!

Not sure who had more fun getting ready for Easter, Madison or Mommy…………

Easter 2013 (5)

It ended up being beautiful out however boo started coming down with something Saturday of course. Well we are on two weeks since the last one so I guess we are do. I literally threw the vitamins out the window, threw out the disinfectant cleaners, sprays and what not, at this point in the game, I give up. It’s April first and we are still sick πŸ™ I guess I’ve accept that I have 13 weeks left of this pregnancy and I’m most likely going to spend them sick, sore or tired! Don’t call me negative, call me factual. I opened the windows Easter morning and hoped for the best for those germs to fly on out of the window. Despite the sickies Madison put on a front, no nap and all and had a good day. She woke up Easter morning saying “Easter Bunny” Daddy, Nunny, TT and I told her all weekend that the Easter Bunny comes to little girls houses that are good girls! Only good girls! Look at that sweet face!

So when she woke up and saw her Easter basket on her dresser I had no problems what so ever waking up to a screaming girl saying “Easter Bunny!!!!” It was the sweetest thing I could ever wake up to. (Still not sure who was more excited me or her). After going through her Easter basket at home she had to run over to Nunny’s house and see if the Easter Bunny came to her house too!!!

Mommy made yummy lemon cupcakes! I decorated them with the new pastry tool I bought, it was fun experimenting. Yes I bought the carrot and Easter bunny sugar molds but hey I frosted those puppies all by myself!! I’m quite proud!

I made some Sangria for the ladies. Of course I had to make a non-alcoholic one for me and my Cuz who is due 3 weeks before me. It helps to have a glass full of something fruity! Then of course we had to bump bellies with those baby juice!

We had an Easter Egg hunt outside and inside! Didn’t quite make it through the one inside because Miss Madison got a bit bored, maybe the stickers inside wasn’t incentive enough but mommy has a thing about sugar these days………..it makes her bounce……..bad! The outside one was a big hit……Here she is with TT and Uncle Bryan starting it off!

It was a great day had by all. It’s what I love doing. Cooking, entertaining, making my family happy and just enjoying them. I love nothing more than watching my loved ones enjoy my daughter. Next year we will have 3 kiddo’s at our Easter Dinner!! πŸ™‚
