Berries and More Berries for #SundaySupper

Berries and More Berries for #SundaySupper

One of the best parts of Summer to me is the fresh fruits and vegetables. Madison and I had so much fun hitting the Farm stands every week, she would help me put everything into the bags (sometimes a little too much) and of course their is blueberry and strawberry picking each year too! Nothing like being outdoors in the beautiful weather picking something you can go home and bake or cook with! This weeks theme is all about the Berries!! This group has got some creative dishes, condiments and drinks for you all!! I swore last week was going to be the last week I took part in #SundaySupper for awhile so I can spend some time getting ready for my son, however it's Berries people!!! This event is being hosted by one of the lovely ladies that I've looked up to since I began blogging. I also

Connie from The Foodie Army Wife is hosting this fabulous party and the #SundaySupper group has gotten together to provide you with some amazing appetizer and drink recipes for your next party!! I decided to make a drink, as I was searching for what to make, I drooled over the holiday alcoholic ones, I then thought  maybe I'm better off making an appetizer because I can't have alcohol this holiday season because of my little bambino, but there is always next year! Then I came across this awesome recipe for Raspberry Hot

End of Summer Sangria

End of Summer Sangria

I got this recipe from a friend of mine. We were going to their house for a little cookout one week night and she asked if I wanted to try a Sangria that was currently being served in the restaurant she works at. Heck, who am I to say no!! Wine, Juice, Ice on a hot night, Uhm Ya!! As Madison says "Peeeease!" So she did her Now let me explain how this is made, my friend was a bartender so she knows how to make a drink. When a recipe calls for a "count" it means you pour according to the number. For example if it calls for a "Two Count" it means you pour and count to two then stop. Easy enough right. Ok then without further delay, here it is! Ingredients: 4 count of Sutter Home Sweet Red Wine (Or any kind of Sweet Red Wine) 2 count of Peachtree liquor 1 count of Triple Sec 2

Strawberry Beer Cocktail

Strawberry Beer Cocktail

I know what your thinking........Weird.......how can you combine liquor and beer?? Well guess what you can! And I did! And I loved it! This recipe is adapted from A Taste of Home, I changed it a bit because I couldn't find the fruit or the juice they recommended. What you need: 4 cans of light beer 1 cup of vodka 1 can of frozen pink lemonade (I think regular lemonade would be great too) Handful of strawberries 1 lemon What to do: You really can use any light beer, I used Bud Light because, well it's my hubby's beer, I think it's best to be drank all in one night, often a Sangria is better the next day, but the carbonation of the beer really offsets the sourness of the juice so I found it VERY refreshing the  night I made it!! :) Combine all ingredients. Serve with fresh

Ahhhh yes my healthified version of the Rasberry Lemonade drink that I sucked down in literally 5 min. oops did I say that?? Whoopsy!! Hey I said I was kiddo free would you expect anything less! I lightened it up, unfortunatley it's not as good when you do that but the restaurants recipe is as follows: Hypnotiq Raspberry Lemonade- A mix of Hypnotiq, Raspberry Smirnoff and lemonade.....don't forget the rocks! My version is pretty simple: Hypnotiq Rasberry Lemonade - A mix of Hypnotiq, Raspberry Smirnoff and Zero Vitamin Lemonade Water.....on the rocks!

Momma’s Sangria

Momma’s Sangria

I wanted to make a Sangria one night while we were on vacation but didn't really want to follow a recipe, I wanted to go with what I had in my mind and just play with it until I got the taste I liked, I'm so glad I did because it was SOOO good. I happened to visit the vineyard where my husband and I got married 3 years ago, they have a lot of flavored wine their. I'm not sure if other wines come in flavors like these but the next time I made this I'm simply going to use a bottle of white Zin with some pineapple juice and a bottle of chardonnay with a little cranberry juice, use your judgement, taste it.........make it yours! What you need: 1 Orange, sliced 1 Green apple, sliced 1 Lime, sliced 1 750 ml bottle of pineapple wine (if you can't find this flavor try a white zin with
