Individual Cakes w/Peanut Butter Whipped Frosting #SundaySupper

Happy Easter everyone! It's one of my favorite holidays for a few reasons. First and foremost because I love getting together with my family. My cousins and I are slowly having kids so it's so exciting to get together. Last year my cousin and I were pregnant together, this year my son and her daughter will be able to join my oldest in the Easter egg hunt!  It's our second year hosting in our new house and I enjoy it more than any other holiday because it's an easy meal for me to plan and make. I make the main course and desserts and everyone else brings the side dishes. Oh and of course because it means Spring is coming, even if it was 78 one day and 2 days later it snowed where I live! That's New England at it's finest! So today I decided to bring a dessert to the #SundaySupper table

Poached Pear Bread with Dixie Crystals & #SundaySupper

Since I'm still mastering this thing called baking, I tend to have to repeat recipes. Sometimes the second one comes out better than the first and sometimes it comes out A LOT worse than the first. When I find one I've mastered a few times it becomes a favorite that I go back to over and over again for my family. When the SundaySupper group said they were partnering up with Dixie Crystals, bringing you the theme of, Springtime Sweets, I knew I had to try something different. For some reason I love baking in the Fall and Spring, call me crazy but Spring just makes me want to bake tasty, sweet and delicious treats. While flipping through one of my favorite cooking magazines I came across a picture that lured me right in! I knew I had to create something like this, since it didn't come with

Granola and Yogurt Parfaits to go w/Ladera Granola

Granola and Yogurt Parfaits to go w/Ladera Granola

When Ladera Granola reached out to me a month or so ago to do a review on their product there was no way I was going to say no, one because I love helping people and two because I love love love granola! I know a lot of Granola's can be good for you but I've never really found one that was low enough in Fats to be satisfied with paying the $8-9 a package can sometimes cost. When I received my Granola in the mail I was excited to see what it was all about. It has an great sweet taste but not too sweet, I loved the texture, it wasn't too "bulky" and "chunky", just the right amount of almond for this Momma! So let's talk about Ladera Granola a bit, I actually found their story quite  fascinating. When I researched it online I was quite surprised that the founders were so young! Well maybe

Happy Friday everyone!! Here in New England we got a nice taste of Spring this week. We got some warm rain, we had a day that was over 50 degrees, sun shining, snow melting, birds chirping, then some more warm rain! I love when their is a glimpse of Spring out there! It immediately started my day off well. We've been in our new house for a little over 2 months now, we have a beautiful front farmers porch and a huge back porch that we have yet to be able to enjoy. Thanks to the lovely time change my daughter has been going to bed late, which results  in getting up late all week. One day this week I woke up, noticed she was still sleeping, I knew it was supposed to beautiful out, I brewed a cup of coffee and stepped outside onto my Farmer's Porch. Now it wasn't quite 50 out at 8am however
