Light Blue Cheese Dressing

I’ve always loved Blue Cheese Dressing, well not as a kid (ewh it smells like farts we used to say!) but have you ever looked at the fat and calorie content?? Seriously it’s bad…..So I went on search of a light recipe, stores don’t even have that many light versions. This recipe was adapted from Gabi over at Honest Fare, I changed it a little but not much, I replaced the yogurt with light sour cream because it’s just what I had on hand. Oh what’s one more new foodie site for me to love! Use this dressing for any salad, Momma’s Wedge Salad or even to dip with your favorite veggies!! YUM!!!

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup of Light Blue Cheese
1/2 cup light Sour Cream
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cracked black pepper to taste
Sprinkle garlic powder
Sprinkle onion powder
Drizzle of honey or agave

Directions:

Combine blue cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice and vinegar in a food processor.

Add all seasonings and a drizzle of honey.

Pulse for a minute or two to combine and use the salt and pepper to your liking, I kept tasting it and even added 2 tbsp. of water because it was too thick for me.

Store in a dressing jar or in my case a gravy boat!! Hey it worked when I served it with Momma’s Wedge Salad.
