Last #Beachbody Challenge

Six Beach Body Tips To Keep You On Track.

I’m calling this my last #Beachbody Challenge once and for all! You can read about my first three weeks on the #21DayFix here. Or the end of my third round of the 21 Day Fix here. Anyone who follows me knows that I’ve been a 21 Day Fixer for almost a year now. However I’ve never done the eating part of the program. Don’t judge, don’t ask me why, I just thought I did well with my own portions and I’m a foodie, I hate limiting myself. However these last five pounds must go.

21Day Fix

It’s hard to believe that I’ve embarked on my journey almost a year ago. Everyones journey is different and though mine didn’t start with needing to loose 100 plus pounds it’s still “my” journey. I waited at least ten years to have a breast reduction. I knew it would have to wait until after I was done having kids. So I patiently waited. I still tried working out and staying healthy but let me be honest, working out with those things is TOUGH work. So last Feb my turn had finally come. After weeks of appointments and consults, measurements and last thoughts, my insurance gave me the thumbs up sign. I almost died I didn’t think it was going to get approved. Then I lost hope again when 3 weeks before my scheduled surgery I found out I had to have my gall bladder out ASAP. However with the help of my friends and family I had two surgeries in one months time. I was going to make it happen.

After I recovered and was given the approval I slowly started working out. I’d walk/run with my son in his stroller on days my daughter was in school. I started eating healthier again because after both surgeries I lost 5 lbs right away. I wanted to keep it going. Then in May I decided to jump on board with #Beachbody and give it a shot. I wanted to try the shakes and do the workouts so I ordered the 21 Day Fix and I haven’t looked back since.

IMG_4719My original goal was to get back to the weight I was at when my husband and I got married. I only needed to loose 20 lbs. I know it doesn’t seem like a lot but it is when you’ve come a long way to be able to jump around again and feel normal. I hit that goal months ago. So I set another new goal of 10 more pounds. I had no idea that my end goal I would be the weight I was at when I actually met my husband never mind when I married him! I ordered T25 and then lost another 5 over the past few months. I’ve noticed I maintain more and feel better when I average workouts at 5x a week. Some weeks I skipped all together due to sicknesses and just being busy however I tried to at least fit in 3x a week. Here is my new plan:

3 Cardio routines a week. (I hate cardio but I know it will blast what is left of my momma belly!)
2 Ab routines a week
1 Concentrated routine a week (upper, lower, core, pilates, etc.)
Measure all foods in the 21 Day Fix containers
Pray.

Pray and pray that in the next 21 days I can kick these last five pounds because the promise I made with myself was this.

Not “If” but “When” I reach this very attainable goal I will finally be happy with my physical appearance. No matter what. I will then maintain and stay healthy for me and my family. I’ve battled my self confidence all of my life and this is where it stops. I’ve come far, I’ve done good, it’s over after this. Getting used to a new body was a lot harder than I thought it was. I wanted that surgery for years but I never thought about how it would change me. I thought of how it would change my appearance, I thought of how it would change the way I worked out, I just never thought how it would change me as a person. I waited so long to be able to feel comfortable in my cloths again, I’ve worked hard on being happy with the size of my thighs, rear and arms, now it’s time to be comfortable with my stomach and the rest of myself as a whole.

I will be sharing some new healthy 21 Day Fix approved recipes with you all so stay tuned. Until then here are my favorites I’ve tried along this journey.
