Holiday Sangria Surprise for #SundaySupper

I can’t believe it’s already December, and we are getting ready for Christmas. Even though I had a gazillion things going on and I had my family over this weekend for a Thanksgiving Leftover party I NEEDED to be a part of this weeks Sunday Supper event because it inspires me to get into my kitchen and do what I do. I don’t want to let the craziness of the holiday season take away where I find my joy.  This week we are gathering around the family table to bring Gifts From The Kitchen. Whether it be food items that you can give to neighbors and friends or gifts you can make using food. My wonderful friend Renee from Magnolia Days is hosting this fabulous event and I wanted to say a special thank you to her since I’ve had the pleasures of working with her for the past 6 months now.

I just love giving so much, I love seeing the faces of loved ones when they open a gift that I’ve put so much thought into. If I could capture seeing my kids as they rip open their toys and much needed hats and mittens each year I’d stuff it into a glass container and open it over and over again. I think it’s part of the reason why I’ve found myself in the kitchen a lot since I’ve become a mother, I love seeing loved ones enjoy my cooking.

Holiday Sangria

I thought of this idea because who doesn’t love a good cocktail at a family party or when a bunch of girls get together for a girly night? I entertain a lot and my new thing now is having a different Sangria made for each gathering. For the Fall time I made Caramel Apple Sangria’s when I had the ladies in my family over for an afternoon of food and fun with the kids. So I must share this one with you all. You can even make it a gift, just buy a container with a spout! I bought one this past summer and it was the best $15 I ever spent. Put the ingredients in the container, put the container in a gift bag along with the wine, vodka and sparkling Cider, add some tissue paper and you have yourself a cute little gift to give.
