Dear Drew Mth 8 & 9

OH sweet boy where do I begin this time around……..

Dear Drew (15)a

The time is flying and I don’t like it one bit. Here we are headed into Spring, well we are trying to at least. It’s been a LONG winter and there are still some really cold days here. However, days like today when it’s nearly 70 are nice.  You are sitting in your carriage outside while Daddy does yard work. You love sitting out there, smelling the fresh air, drinking your bub, just watching watching watching. It keeps you busy by the hour!! Some nights you can’t go to sleep right away, you may have your two bottom munchers but those top teeth are bothering you like crazy bud, but a few extra loves from Daddy or rocking with Momma usually does the trick!

Dear Drew (5)

I can’t even believe the things you’ve mastered since the last time I wrote. You haven’t picked up on crawling but you sure do get around……you “scoot” and get from point A to point B all by yourself, I can no longer turn my back for more than a second!! Of course its the stage where you want to touch everything but your toys so you just want to knock down and chew on anything but. Including the floor in our living room. You sit there and watch Momma cook, well you whine while I cook because one you love food and always want some, and two because you just want to be near me but it looks like we have to invest in a gate because of that lovely step off we have between the kitchen and living area!

Dear Drew (13)

You hold your bottle all by yourself now, don’t worry at least once a day usually morning and night I snuggle you in my arms and though you hold your own bottle I love that time where I can just watch you eat. I know that time is almost over and I’m going to miss it so I’m loving every second I can until then! You’ve come so far with eating food buddy. You are forming your likes and dislikes, though there isn’t much you don’t like 😉

Dear Drew (4)

You are more than vocal these days. Your sister gets your going and the next thing I know you are both screaming laughing at each other! Boy oh boy are you starting to fight back when it comes to that big sister of yours! When she takes a toy from you, you actually fight back! You have even figured out how to show her to back off! You push her away when you need “space” as I like to call it! I think it’s great that you are no longer like being bossed around and are finally taking a stand to the things you want to play with or hold! Only time will tell when you finally bop her one for taking something from you! Mamamama lasted about a day or two DaDaDaDaDa is by far your favorite thing to say these days.

I can’t wait to get you up to the camp. You are going to be amazed at all there is to do outdoors. Or how much your going to see your family all summer long! Swimming, building sand castles, swinging at the park, going for walks, I can’t wait baby boy! So do Mommy proud and sleep good at the camp so we can be there every weekend!! You love being outside swinging in your swing!

Dear Drew (11)

We just celebrated your first Easter! Last year Aunty Joyce and I were pregnant with you and your cousin but this year you were here to join the festivities and you couldn’t have had any more fun than you did! You even ate a deviled egg, you played with new toys and yes of course you posed for many many pictures for Mommy! We had such a nice day with family.

Dear Drew1

We also just had your 9 month check up (a month late) you weighed in at 24.8 buddy! Your Dr. said you are perfectly healthy, I’m so thankful for healthy check ups! Your sleeping habits have gotten better, though I still can’t get you to sleep past 5 some days, I’ll take the ones in between when you do! You really are such a good happy little boy buddy. I love going shopping with you because as a Mommy the best compliment you can receive is just hearing someone say “he’s so cute!” or if they stop and chat with you, you still love the ladies! I just beam when I get to share you with the world! I hear over and over again how happy of a baby you are! I can’t tell you how much that means to me. I never thought in a million years I could have such a different bond with each of my babies. They are both so special and unique and I’m a lucky Momma for that!! I found a new way to be able to squeeze in a 20-30 min workout, this little gate keeps you busy in Mommy’s room while you play, actually you stare and watch mommy jump, hop and around like a crazy woman while she “thinks” she’s loosing weight!

Dear Drew2

Well the next time I write we will be into Summer for sure! It’ll be close to your first birthday, I can hardly believe it. For now I’m going to enjoy these last two months before we celebrate such a big day. Mommy Loves you Drew.

Hugs and Kisses,

Momma
