#CrockPot Challenge Recap

Well though I’m sad that this challenge has come to an end, I’m happy to have marked some great new recipes to try! Thank you again ladies for all of your hard work, it was so fun working with you!! The best part about a Recap is that you get a list of 15 new recipes right here!! Let’s recap here for a moment and talk about these fine recipes that were made this week. Since I am the host I will go last and let these lovely ladies take a bow.

Sarah from Crispy Bits & Burnt Ends – Isn’t she a sweetheart, this girl came down with the flu right before this challenge started and she still pulled through! Love her food and her blog, her pictures amaze me and her recipes inspire me!

Sarah’s Day One of the Challenge- Brisket kind of Pastrami-I love this idea and I can’t wait to try it, I only make brisket one time a year for St Patrick’s day so I’m spreading my wings folks!

Sarah’s Day Two of the Challenge-Meatballs 2 ways-I can always enjoy a good meatball, no matter what way we eat it, always welcome new meatball recipes!

Sarah’s Day Three of the Challenge-Asian Pot Roast-This one struck my fancy because Pot Roast gets old if you make it the same way all the time, I’m very much looking forward to trying this puppy!

Sarah’s Day Four of the Challenge-Buffalo Chicken Sandwich-Who doesn’t like a good Buffalo Sandwich?? Putting this on the list for the hubby.

Sarah’s Day Five of the challenge-Rib Sliders –  I love Sarah’s version of my recipe, she even made it into a slider! What a great idea! Again, her pic has made me  hungry!

Melanie over at From Fast Food to Fresh Food – Let’s talk about everything Melanie shall we…..I mean the title alone sums up what this girl does! I need to learn a few things from her since the processed foods are out and the fresh foods are in for my family! (shhh don’t tell Madison!!) Her recipes are outstanding!

Melanie’s Day One of the Challenge-Asian Style Pork Ribs-Who isn’t always looking for a way to change up the usual Ribs!

Melanie’s Day Two of the Challenge-Buffalo Chicken Dip – This dip is so on my list for football food this season, you know I don’t watch football I just cook for it and hubby reaps the benefits of it!

Melanie’s  Day Three of the Challenge-No Hurry Curry– My new thing now is Curry so this is a must try! I love the style to this dish and I love all of the veggies in it.

Melanie’s Day Four of the Challenge-Sweet & Tangy Ribs – Melanie kicked up the twang on my recipe, I love her spin on this so make sure you check it out.

Melanie’s Day Five of the challenge-Bills Hot Beef Sandwich – I don’t know about you but my family is huge on sandwiches, my husband and I both like “Hot” anything, I can’t wait to try this dish! Love the secret ingredient too!

Laura from Small Wallet Big Appetite – Last but certainly not least, Laura! I see her passion in the kitchen, I LOVE how she shows her savings in the kitchen as well.  I really think I can pick up some of her tips because I’m BAD…..Laura is so right, you just never know how much you are spending at the grocery store, lunches at work and dining out! Stay tuned I’m featuring Laura in December! YAY!

Laura’s Day One of the Challenge-Pork Roast in Salsa Verde– I love the salsa sauce in this recipe, I LOVE pork and I love changing it up,  you have to see Laura’s recipe.

Laura’s Day Two of the Challenge-Sweet and Tangy Ribs – Go see how Laura changed it up with my recipe, hint hint it’s finger licking good!!

Laura’s  Day Three of the Challenge-Barley & Leek Risotto – Laura made me realize I never cook side dishes in my Crock!! Why not??? This one is a must try for me!

Laura’s Day Four of the Challenge- Chinese Drumsticks – I LOVE drumsticks in the crock, it’ll be nice to change it up some! Who doesn’t like a good drumstick!

Laura’s Day Five of the challenge-Rotisserie Chicken – Oh my…..I have to get over my fear of “Whole” chickens, this looks to die for and I love having chicken for a bunch of different dishes and some homemade broth to boot!

I didn’t have any other friends or family take part but that’s ok, maybe next time!! Let’s recap on my recipes.

Momma’s Day One of the Challenge – Beef Stroganoff – Great comforting dish here folks…..great casserole to freeze if you have leftovers too.

Momma’s Day two of the Challenge- Ahhhhhhh the Breakfast Casserole, how can you not want breakfast waiting for you the second you open your eyes?? Be creative add fillings your family loves.

Momma’s Day Three of the Challenge- AJ’s Spaghetti Sauce – Looking for a homemade sauce to leave cooking all day? Cook your meatballs right in there! I can’t wait to make stuffed shells with my frozen batch.

Momma’s Day Four of the Challenge-Creamy Chicken & Spinach – This was my version of Laura’s recipe. Big hit here and I do confess to eating it 3 times during the week for lunch.

Momma’s Day Five of the Challenge- Ranch House Pork Chops – Looking for a recipe to change up your usual pork chop? This is the one for you! Serve them with my Comforting Mashed Potatoes and make the dinner complete!

So that wraps it up my friends…….great week with some awesome recipes with some fantastic ladies! I’m hoping to put another Challenge together some time in February maybe, when it’s really winter and we are all dying for some good heart meals!
